With the 4 or 6 color system, is it possible to have 6 stations attached to them? if so, please include in the plans.

Here is a simple design, large, but cheaper than the all steel and aluminum machine. Serigraphy is over 500 years old, before metals were commonly used. Modify the “Lazy Susan” plate to make it a 2, 6, or 8 color machine. The rest is the same, just more pieces and registration points.

There are lots of plans on the net. Build anyone of them, but make your hinges large enough so you can register each one, 2 color, 4 color, and even 6 color. Registration is the most important part of screen printing mutiple colors.

That’s the sort of hinge I picked up. When laid flat it looks like it would get between the screen and the wood so I worry about the grip. I’m paranoid I guess.

Hero, if you look at the bottom of the pictures above, you can see how the hinge is mounted across the clamp and the clamp base. Not sure what kind of hinge you bought, but you shouldn’t have to chisel the wood at all.

Hey Rob, I’ve just picked up all the wood but purchased a regular door hinge. I’m having a hard time visualizing how the hinge would work in the clamp as is without chiseling a groove for it. Did I buy the wrong type? Also, am I correct in assuming the shirt board should be asymmetrical? Thanks for the info whether you get back to me or not.
